...2011 Lotus Esprit Sports Car

While the new Elise is all but locked in, the Esprit project is very much dependent on whether Lotus can sell enough Evoras to fund it. The timeline for the Esprit is also at the mercy of the global economic situation, with Lotus likely to delay the Esprit and forge ahead with a far less costly drop-top Evora if the recession persists much longer.
If it launches on time, the Esprit could be Lotus’ best hope of gaining a much larger share of the sports car market.
There are speculations stating that the 500bhp V10 powerplant can be the source of power for the Lotus Esprit, which will be released in 2012.

2011 lotus evora

for ten years. I knew that Evora will be more models were observed in January production. Auto Express, but has not received confirmation. Lotus plans to launch in 2011, the convertible version Evora. It's not like we think, as top tin (which requires an adjustment of TARDIS technology), but as an indication of the RAG complex. It 'much more logical and consistent with the philosophy of Lotus is to reduce weight and cost. But apparently that does not fall in place RAG RAG, but the best. But it is a good idea for the UK (actually could not think of leaving home, unless global warming offers us several times until the summer of '76 - we had the winter sweet year!) E 'really on West Coast, has a greater effect. Although not a serious set of origami as roof LP640 Roadster, which really have nothing. Auto Express also repeat what I said in January - has not blown 400 hp versions of Évora is - at some point. Well, it really gives Lotus a great opportunity to play with boys. 0-60 Evora structure managed about 5 seconds, and it seems that the version of the Lotus Evora has blown up high for 3 seconds. Barn Stormer, especially if we get less than £ 80k.

2010 Lotus Evora First Pictures
Lotus is set to give the all-new Evora its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Thursday, November 20. This is an all-new mid-engine 2+2 — the only such car in the world.
The Evora is powered by a 276 horsepower Lotus-tuned Toyota-based 3.5 liter V6, but, more importantly, weighs only 2976 lbs.Lotus remembers what most other marques have forgotten; that ‘adding lightness’ can do more for a car’s performance than just throwing raw horsepower at a heavy car.
One of our readers (photo credit: Laura Burstein) caught this pic of the Lotus Evora in California before the official debut at the LA auto show:
Despite the Elise DNA in the Evora’s appearance, it is designed to seat two 6’5″ adults in the front seats and “smaller adults” or children in the rear seat. The trunk (“boot” to the British) has a 5.7 cubic foot capacity, which is a decent size and can hold a full set of golf clubs. In case you are worried about the mid-engine layout making for a toasty trunk, Lotus thought of that: the trunk features a fresh-air vented cooling system.
Compared to the Elise and Exige, the Lotus Evora features slimmer door sills and larger openings to make the sporty 2+2 more liveable on a daily basis. Lotus even put a flat-bottom steering wheel in it to ease ingress and egress for the driver.

Lotus Announces Exige S and All-New Evora for 2010
The upcoming Evora is, if anything, even more exciting than the Exige S. The Evora is a mid-engined 2+2 coupe powered by a 3.5-litre V-6 producing 276 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 252 pound-feet of torque at 4,700 rpm. The power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual box.
All that power will take the new car from 0 – 60 in approximately 5 seconds and the Evora boasts a top speed of over 160 mph. And it still gets 27 MPG in combined real-world driving.
Lotus says the Evora will also be available without a rear seat, offering a bit more luggage space. Of course, it will also come with every electronic gizmo, bell, whistle, and dingdong you can imagine in a modern sports car.
We think the 2-seat version will be the hot ticket - who buys a Lotus to haul the kids to school, anyway? But if that's your thing, Lotus is including child safety seat latches in the Evora's back seat.
So if the auto news has you bumming, just take a moment to visit lotuscars.com and check out the new leaders in the sports car world.
