I'm really a little concerned about the german's swing to american styling of their vehicles. Yes the US market is the number two world market outside of home market, and yes a HUGE chunk of exec vehicles are for the US lease market, but PLEASE don't make everything look like a yank tank.
Holden can be forgiven for doing this to the VE Commodore in a desperate attempt to hold the rear drive platform within big brother GM,
but BMW, Mercedes and Audi have no excuse.
and Audi, a 'yacht shifter'??
The Japanese are having a design renaissance (after years of trying to emulate German cars),
and the French and Italians , well their build quality attests to their focus on local design.
So come on Teutons remember the 'good ol days' of no cup holders and over-engineering an inherently poor handling car to the point where it is one of the best handling cars in the world. The only tacky american thing in a german car should be a gangster rapper or a startled popstar beaver
